Unhappy DeBug the Kindle Fire HD
Hello ... downloaded the newest version of caliber and i continue to get the same DeBug information... it seems that caliber will not detect the newest version of the Kindle Fire HD ,,,,,,,could some kind soul please help with this problem. ... i wish i was a programmer so i can help with the development of this wonderful software but i am not and depend on the kind people with skills as such to help...

please someone anyone with skills help out a fellow bookworm down on his luck

After connecting the Kindle to your PC, if you click My Computer, does the Kindle show up as a USB drive?

It won't be detected with XP. XP does not properly/fully support the MTP protocol. You might be able to get it to work by updating to Windows Media Player 11 (and rebooting)... maybe.

shows up in the other section of my computer ... i am able to open as an internal storage.. but that is it

yep ...i have upgraded in every aspect i can think of ... it looks that i will be forced to upgrade to Windoze7

You might be able to get away with using the Calibre 'Connect to Folder' feature as a way of getting files onto the HD.
