Go read a Asimov short story (Nightfall, or The Last Question or ...) or start a novel (Foundation, I Robot,...)

I used to love his popular science books. Most of them are probably out of date though there's still good stuff in them.

Ah, Isaac Asimov. He definitely had an effect on me. So many of his books are like coming home when I read them again.

His science essays were particularly good; although many of them are out of date, you can still learn a lot from them.

I used to absolutely love him when I was younger, but then Foundation's Edge pretty much ruined it all for me.

I'm sorry but if the future of humanity is a giant gestalt hivemind named Gaia, I'd rather blow ourselves up now. And since all his SF work is almost all now tied together, I just can't bear to read any of it.

Love his Black Widowers stuff though

I've got I, Robot on my reading list for this year. It didn't quite make the required 26 list to complete my alphabet and decade challenges, but it's number 27 right now.

The book "I Robot" (which is actually a collection of short stories) is my favorite Asimov book though his Lucky Starr books are also good fun. He wrote a good body of work. Happy 'belated' Birthday Dr. Asimov!!
