The Patricia Clark memorial library now has more than 25,000 eBooks
As of Today, the 20th of December there are now 25,005 eBooks available for download. These are divided as follows:
7193 Mobipocket eBooks usable on Kindle devices and apps. 7326 Sony BBeB eBooks usable on Sony devices and apps. 6184 ePub eBooks usable on a wide variety of devices and apps. 3486 eBookwise eBooks usable on eBookwise readers. 0816 Misc eBooks, mostly PDF but some works in other formats. Several languages are represented in this library. In particular there are a lot of German language eBooks. These are indexed in our wiki at Free eBooks-de/de. Thanks go out to all of the MobileRead members who have created eBooks for others to freely download. These are all Public Domain or Creative Licensed in Canada or the USA. The downloader should check to ensure that they are freely downloadable in their country. Most of these eBooks have been carefully proofread and handcrafted by the poster. They are fine examples of what can be done in the various formats to make quality eBooks. |

And as I recall Patricia Clark (for whom the library is named) was also one of (if not the biggest) contributor to the library. Good to see the library is doing so well.

It's not just the quantity of books that's so impressive. The quality is exceptional as well. When you download a title from the Patricia Clark library, you can be reasonably sure of getting a book that's been properly proofed and formatted - unlike with many other free download sites.

A big thank you to all the contributors. The books are really well crafted and revised, not the mechanical scanning you can find elsewhere. They're a joy to read.
Not being native English speaker some of the titles have been quite a challenge, but that's where the integrated dictionary of the ebook reader comes really handy. No need to switch to another book now |

Yes, thank you very much to all the contributors including especially some who aren't around to read this.

Indeed. I know of at least two who have left us. Though they are gone they have left us all a wonderful legacy of good quality PD ebooks. I'm not sure how many Patricia alone contributed but I'm sure it was a far greater number than the few that I've posted as yet.
