New-tags on books disappear
I bought my first Kindle a couple of months ago. And when a book is delivered to the Kindle it has a new-tag. After a couple of days, the tag just disappears, without me reading the book. Is this normal Kindle-behavior?

Yes, that's normal. You can always find your new books by changing the home page sort order to "Recent".

It loses the "New" tag when you open it or after 24 hours, which happens first.

I kinda like that the New tag goes away on it's own. It doesn't go away on the Sony until you open the book or do some computerized tinkering with it.

True but if you use that as a guage, it's gone if you accientally open the book so ultimately it's useless. The only way to get that 'new' tag back is to delete and redownload. So for me, the 'new' tag is more of an annoyance than a help.
