Metadata does not show in Book Details Panel
Whenever I used to download metadata it would show in the Book Details Panel on the far right of the main screen beside the columns.

Since last two weeks now the metadata does not show in the Book Details Panel any more?

How can I get it back? Any help would be appreciated

Assuming it DOES show in the Metadata Editor (which means the settings got messed up)

Preferences: Look and Feel: (Book Details tab): tick those you wish to see.

Previously the synopsis / description of the book used to come up in the meta data editor (in the comment right hand side) and then would show in the Book Detail Panel also at the bottom under the metadata.

Suddenly it is not there in either.

Have I messed up some settings somewhere?

Any suggestions?

Try going to Preferences - Miscellaeous - Open calibre configuration directory.

1 - Now exit calibre.
2 - Rename the configuration directory to Calibre Settings.old or something similar in case you decide to go back to it.
3 - Start calibre

A new configuration directory will be created and you may have to point calibre to your library again. This will remove all custom settings but may fix your problem.
