That one is 19.04 here where price fixing is ok.

I've seen minor price movements in some S&S books. Some books originally priced at $11.99 have dropped to $10.93.

I got a bunch of price change emails last night and today as well. The same books will go down by 50c -1$, then back up again. It almost looks as if they are trying to figure out the best price point.
This book has been going up and down and up and down again like a Yoyo!

Back when I first started ereading, there were (mostly) only two options: Romance and Star Trek (pubbed by S&S). Agency priced me out of all Trek save New Frontier. Might be time to start tracking some of them again.

Don't care about agency pricing, still need to match my guidelines in order to sell to me. $12 is too much, I am willing to pay as much as $8 and no more. I read probably 80 books a year and an additional $4 per book equals an additional $320 a year, no exactly pocket change.

I'm showing a "sold" by Simon & Schuster for The Great Gatsby on B&N, but with a non-agency style discounted price. Go figure. Maybe I should snatch it up now before they change their mind?

According to Wikipedia:
Publication date: April 10, 1925 Should be. I wouldn't cry too much if somebody "stole" a copy. This is nuts... the author has been dead longer than many of us have been alive and even his children have probably already either passed or will soon. |

For the US it was copyrighted 10 April 1925 and the copyright was renewed 23 March 1953. Making it under copyright until January 2021.
