0.6.1 Released
A few notable features are:
Edit Two additional changes I forgot to mention. I'm now signing the OS X app with an Apple provided developer certificate. This will allow Sigil to run with Gatekeeper. Also, I'm now providing md5 checksums for all binaries (and source package) on the download page. Also, The 0.6.1 packages when out without the date for 0.6.1 being set in the changelog. This oversight isn't a major issue and doesn't warrant pulling the packages. The Changelog will have the correct release date for 0.6.1 in the next release. See the changelog, it no longer exists there. Use Ctrl+T, a new icon on the toolbar or the Tools menu to get the same functionality as that button.

If an HTML file is loaded to v6.1 with the following Doc Type:
Code:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> Code:
Line 1: White space expected. Code:
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.1//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml11/DTD/xhtml11.dtd"> After showing the error message and the error window is closed, Sigil continues and opens on a empty file. Since v6.1 will not open the file should it not shut down?

I suspect your Preferences have Clean Source set to Pretty Print. Try changing to Pretty Print Tidy, and the tidy part may fix the doctype on load.
I think we need to make sure the default is Pretty Print Tidy for 0.6.0 users that are set to Pretty Print to handle cases like this. But even so, it may also be necessary to automatically clean up the DOCTYPE provided by Book View when just using Pretty Print or when Clean Source is OFF. Oh, the error is, I think, saying it expected whitespace after the EN" but instead it found >.

Its more consistent as an icon like all the others, and was meant to change in 0.6.0 when the toolbar was revamped but got missed out. It also means its available even when moving or hiding the TOC window.

Clear find/replace
Is there a quick way to clear the find/replace fields?
I haven't found it.

Not specifically. But you can easily create a "Blank" entry in Saved Searches and put it at the top, then just right click on the Find or Replace box and select it to reset Find/Replace and the Modes.
