Kindle speed/responsiveness
Has anyone noticed a difference in device speed when page turning, toggling through collections etc when you have 500 or 1000 books on the Kindle than say 100?

What device do you have and what's your experience?

It won't make any difference to page turns within a book, but it having a lot of books will slow down global searches, and so on. Modern Kindles (PW, Touch, etc) are a lot faster than older models such as the K3.

On my old K3Keyboard I have 1000 free books and it works well with the latest firmware.

Newer one should be even better

K3 as well - approx. 1400 books loaded and 12 pages of collections +
Maybe 2 pages with stand-alone books.
If all books are indexed properly, I see no slowdown inside a book when turning pages.
In Home menu, browsing collections trying to decide what to read next, K3 does some re-arranging (last accessed, sort order etc) with the collections, and THAT can make page turning of the collection view slower. But just for a short while. Then it's back to normal. Had it yesterday - you know What reading mood am I in

I noticed that when I had a ton of books in a bunch of collections, it got a bit laggy. But, nothing major. Once I pruned the shrubs a bit, everything was fine.
