Not the wall game.
The first word is 'Eton', the second is a pluralised number!

Apparently it is also played in Switzerland, not that it will be of any help. This is truly a question worthy of this thread.

I looked up the wall game on wikipedia, and according to wikipedia, most games ends 0-0. A goal happens roughly every ten years, and there hasn't been scored goal in the wall game on the traditional St. Andrew Day game since 1909. I would never have learned this without this thread and this quiz

Eton Fives? That resonates slightly, but I have no idea if it's right.

My apologies for such an obscure question. Hopefully people have learned something though. Again, there's no clear winner, so whoever has a question ready should probably go for it.

1 Yes.
2 Yes, completely correct. 3.Yes. So three point to Hamlet, and the next question. I'll accept the century for the other two answers.

There is a term "en passant" in fencing. I haven't been able to find a definition. But it doesn't seem to be a rule.

5. ?? 18th century? I think I remember the best player then, Philidor, played with it, but don't know if this counts as "universally accepted".
