Anabasis (v. griech. „Hinaufmarsch“ (von der Küste ins Landesinnere)) ist der Titel mehrerer aus der griechischen Antike überlieferter Schriften. Die bekannteste (auch als: "Der Zug der Zehntausend") ist die Beschreibung des Feldzuges des jüngeren Kyros gegen Artaxerxes II. durch den Athener Xenophon.

Xenophon begleitet das Heer zunächst als "Berichterstatter". Nach gewonnener Schlacht (bei Kunaxa 401 v. Chr.), bei der aber der Feldherr Kyros fällt, wird Xenophon, nicht zuletzt aufgrund seiner Sprachgewandheit, zum Heerführer gewählt und führt die 10000 zurück in die Heimat. (frei nach Wikipedia)

Höhrt sich für mich, an wie eine perfekte Vorlage für ein Drehbuch. Wurde aber bis jetzt scheinbar noch nicht verfilmt.
