Point of reference (for the sake of good order, yeah right), I have used Marc's Time Displacement Service (TDS is a service mark of of OzMarc Partners) in bidding. I wait for the bids to be opened and read, write down my final bid, send it via TDS and then have them announce my winning bid. I recommend TDS for when it absolutely has to be there before you send it.

OK, I'll try that, there are some shares that are currently very pricey, so if I go back to the 1950s and buy a few hundred, I shall be quids in when I get back to reality...
