How many of us read books from the New York Times Bestsellers list

Personally I stopped reading those books when the average price of them started going up a few years ago.

I don't seek out books because their on the list, never have, but occasionaly a book I've read does end up there (like the Wool Omnibus).

I don't pay any attention to the bestseller lists.

I don't pay attention to the list either.

Have a read some best sellers? Yes. Will I read best sellers in the future? Probably.

I couldn't tell you. What's on the New York Times Best Seller List?

I read books that sound interesting to me. If they're also on some best-seller list... so be it. But I won't exclude or include based on best-seller status alone.

I use the list sometimes to find something popular outside of my usual genre. Lists are very useful to find new-to-you authors.

My tastes differ from the mainstream, as does my budget. I've borrowed some from the library but so far nothing has wooed me into spending 20% of a C-note on one overhyped piece of fiction.

Nope.
If anything, I would avoid such a book if that's all it has to recommend it.

Any resemblance to the NY Times Best Sellers List is purely coincidental.

The list is now so long it's hard to avoid reading some of them. I see I've read one of the 35 on the current non-fiction hardback list.

One title caught my eye -- How Music Works, at number 28. I was interested enough to check search.overdrive.com, which shows the only countries who have the eBook in some of their libraries are Australia and the UK.

The one title on the list I likely will read is No Easy Day, but not this year.
