The books are in the wrong format, ePub instead of Mobi, but you can convert them using Calibre or KindleGen/KindlePreviewer. If the books have DRM (which is quite likely) that DRM will need to be removed first (google Apprentice Alf). Once the books are in Mobi format they'll work fine on a Kindle.

As AnemicOak says. Yes, but. You will need Calibre and the DRM removal plug-ins from Apprentice Alf. It's not at all difficult, however, and you'll find Calibre an invaluable tool for managing your eBook collection into the bargain. The best part is, once you have everything set up, you'll be able to buy books from virtually any source and convert to read on any reader. AND you'll be able to make platform and device independent backups of all your books. That alone is worth the very modest effort (and no $$) required.

We however cannot give links to the DRM stripping plugin, but Calibre itself is available from www.calibre-ebook.com . We cannot give the links or discuss the DRM removal tools, due to forum rules, and those rules are in place due to the laws of the host country.

I would assume that Nook owners are 99 percenters. The remaining 1% are those sneaky foreigners who bought one while visiting the US

Nook doesn't sell to other countries, besides the USA.
At least, it is not available in Singapore. |
