That figure of 243 ppi is an interesting one, it is too low to be 1080p on a 7" tablet, it is less than the new 8.9" kindle, but is better than 1080p in a 10.1" display so you are either looking at a tab smaller than 7" or something close to that new fire.

I don't think so. Nook won't be having those stupid ads built it. Amazon is really not so cheap because you have to pay not to get those ads. I still have no idea why the press still hardly say anything about this.

As I understand it, you still have ads on the Nooks, only they're only for B&N products.

I have 3 different types of Nooks and unless I am in the shop, I get no ads. My mother has a Kindle and her ads show outside the shopping section. If you set down your reading for a few minutes, then pick it up again, you see an ad before you can start reading again. I can just pick up where I left off with nothing bothering me.
