A new Kindle Fire with a camera and microphone + GPS is all probable.

"The Verge has leaked images of the “Kindle Paperwhite,” which appears to be a front-lit Kindle Touch with a whiter, brighter and higher-resolution screen. The text on the images is in French and promises eight hours of battery life even with the light on."

Moderator: since this thread is not in the Kindle sections, most Kindle users will definitely miss this. I have never looked in this part of the Forums in the past.

This is over a year after we had all this in the US. My only question is why the delay?

Anyway, who has ever hear of a "paperwhite"? "White paper" yes, but I've also heard (and seen) red paper, green paper, yellow paper, even pink paper (I really don't like this kind since utility companies like to send bills using it).

That seems to be your implication. I'm not sure why. I have no reason to believe you are correct other than you are just trying to take a slam at Kindles for some reason.

I've see the descriptor "paperwhite" used in a variety of places describing everything from paint to drawing paper.

It seems very descriptive if this new model is indeed more paper white than the grey-tinged predecessors.
