Nice phone, but I'll stick with my Note one. That one has a 16:10 screen, the Note two has a 16:9 screen. I find that too narrow on screens under 7 inch to read comfortably and it is fast enough already.

The pen does still fit in the Note II. We don't know all the features yet. Anyway, your long wait for the Note III has just started....

I was hoping for a HD AMOLED+ screen with the non pentile screen. Anyway LG new flagship phone specs looks very good as well although I don't like its design. Annoyingly none of these flagship phones have been announced here with 4g yet so I might as well wait for the nexus phone announcements. This time they are supposedly from 3 different OEMs so should be interesting.

My heart is a pitter patter. It is like when I was considering the Kindle KB 3G. Is the product something I will buy and then say to myself "Really Great Deal!" This is a "really great device!!" The Kindle is always with me at least when my clothes are on.
I was given a Samsung Galaxy Tab 7Plus which was more than I thought I needed by one of my boys, and it is great, but it is a little big, and I have gradually let my significant woman take total charge of it. I looked at the Note I in Amazon. $525 unlocked. Of course that is the cell phone version. I could go with a Note II at that price and skip a new Notebook computer/Desktop upgrade which I have been considering. Question 1 is whether the ""Apple lawsuit"" will have a bearing on the Note II. Question 2 is whether the Note II will be a "Really Great Deal!" A "really great device." The Final Question is: Is it time to pull the trigger? |

Too bad the Note II still has that same pentile screen -- if I don't get one that will be the main reason.

Pentile this, pentile that... Have you seen the S3? I dare you to see the pixels or any artifacts from the pentile screen. Original pentile screens were horrible, but technology has advanced to the point where you can't tell the difference, especially at the DPIs we have nowadays. Not to worry, if you don't buy it, I'm sure somebody will be happy to take it off your hands.

Also I think the whole pentile issue is diminished the higher the res goes. For me I don't so much care about pentile I want 300+ dpi. Quote:
It took Samsung 1yr to bring the Note to the States and 1.5 to bring it to T-Mobile. I would have purchased the original Note hand I not been aware that the Note II was going to be announced 1mo later. See my response to @dopedangle. |

Makes you wonder why, after all, the Note is a rip-off of the iphone, I am sure hordes of people bought a Note and then they were like "Oh my God, the suckers, they cheated me, it has a Samsung logo on the top!!!"
