How Often Do You Check Your Sales Reports?
I am not an obsessive person, no OCD here. But I check sales reports several times each day, and I am keeping a record (for later analysis) of each day's total sales.
Have I gone nuts, or is this common? |

I check once a month or so, but I think I've only sold 10 copies on Amazon about about twice that on B&N since I loaded up for sale in March, so.
Possibly if I was selling dozens a day, I'd look more often. |

Frankly I have to discipline myself, especially with a new offering or any change.
Anyway, with a new offering, one time at end of day for first month. After that, 2 times a week until 3 months, and that is the most difficult period of time. After that, 1 time a week. Of course if someone asks or mentions the book, that is different and calls for an instant look. |

Well, I'm glad it's not just me.
And I should caveat that I have an existing blog with a following of 50-100 daily comments, so transitioning that into 30 total sales over 5 months is probably on the lower end of "impressive". But I added a GoodReads Author widget to the blog today! |

I usually check daily. It's pretty easy to go crazy and start checking all the time though.

I was getting to the point where I was checking a few times a day, so I've limited myself to once a week.

Seldom enough to know how little action there is there. One of the reasons I make new friends is the hope that some of them will buy my book.
