I've had TracFone for years and their phones are pretty basic. I have free text on my tablets with a program called TextFree Plus.

My son has had his for many years, but still had a PC. Then a few years ago he changed over to a Mac. I resisted, but hated that we no longer could share stuff. Now, with the others getting ithings, I just gave up and got an iphone.
