That article doesn't seem very professionally written. I wouldn't use vulgar language like that in any piece of professional work.

Well, it's a blog, so the rules are a bit different. And he is talking to an audience that has been exposed to vulgarity much more than an older generation. I thought it was funny, but also had the reaction of, "Got anything new?" Most advice to new authors covers it in different ways.
