I know we've kind of played around with this in the past and threads have stayed active for awhile, but would this be a good place for technical support (computer) questions to be asked?

why does she ask? you say... well (and I know I have asked this before and forgotten the answer), my computer installed updates and restarted itself, now the text is all smeary (maybe enlarged as well) and the screen view is sliding off the side... help?

If you can't find a better way to resolve the problem you might have to use the System Restore utility. You may have gotten a bad update
Install.
