Apologies for being a bit dense on this one, as it's the first I've seen, but does the first person have to pay for the bundle, and then all subsequent "purchases" are free, or does it work differently to that?

You have one year from creation of a coupon to use it.
After that, you have to contact Baen to get it re-activated (same for gift cards, it turns out, as I had to have on reinstated, once).
