We're doing really crazy stuff. Don't see how can this improve our lives, or internet as community and tool. Homemade crap becomes interesting because everyone can produce it with ease.

I think this kind of thing is great for ... say ... folks in the service sent oversees. How nice to partake, even in just a small way, with their families' daily activities.
On the other hand, my niece posts daily to Facebook. "Having a sh*tty day today." "Had to feed the munchkin peas tonight". And I wonder, honestly, does anyone really care?!

I'm reminded of an episode on "Criminal Minds" in which the older team members "discover" social blogging sites & Twitter - and ask why people even bother to post such mundane stuff, let alone read it.
