What is a metadata.db-journal file?
I recently moved my calibre library to SugarSync and everything looks good. All files moved, including metadata.db.
However, there is one file which has had a status of "pending upload" for the last twelve hours.
The file name is metadata.db-journal, file size 2KB, file type is db-journal.File.
I do not remember ever seeing this file before. Can anyone identify it and explain what the purpose is?

That file is normally used within the SQLite database software to handle transaction integrity for changes against the database. Normally it only appears for a second or two before it disappears.
