Two personal ones:

Standing at the Library Staff Assoc. bake sale table this past Valentine's Day, my wife pointed at some goodies and said, "They have cupcakes in cups and cupcakes in a pan." I replied, "Are you sure they're not pancakes?" She elbowed me in the ribs. The head of the media desk standing next to me pointed at me and said to the ladies behind the table, "That's what true love is all about."

For this one, I will point out that I am American. Back in my World of Warcraft raiding days, we were talking on Ventrilo (a voice chat program) before we started the dungeon for the evening. One guy who was eating some yogurt said, "This Australian yogurt is really good. I'm not sure why it's "Australian" though." Before I could stop myself, I replied, "It's the familiar yet exotic culture." To my relief, the Australian woman in the raid laughed.

They also print a magazine, WFI (Weird Fiction Review), and have done interviews with such authors such as Neil Gaiman. I suppose they're legit; it's just funny that they don't mention the copyright on that story. Oh well. Thanks for the link, Ben!
