The list might not be full or properly entered... otherwise it would be a bit silly to have built in speakers but not play any audio formats.

Could be... but I wouldn't trust the spec list at Futureshop too much. I've seen things being omitted too often with them.

I have to wonder if Future Shop jumped the gun. How can they have a live product listing when the thing hasn't been officially announced with all the pomp & fanfare these launches usually get? The entire world couldn't help but know about the new Kindles thanks to the full-court press of PR from Amazon, for example.

This, its has to mean that since its not a eink screen.The only way i would buy a ereader that had a LCD screen is if it could play videos especially since the battery is suppose to only last EST 6 hours

oh, I'm sure they jumped the gun in a big way since there has been no mentions of a tablet device coming other than the fcc post that was brought up last week; but the fact that they do have images, not to mention listings for different color devices means it's probably close to coming out..

Thanks, great find. At least it has a micro SD card slot, one thing that the Kindle Fire lacks. I hope it has a IPS screen.

Great scoop. It will be a fine implementation for Kobo's Reading Life and Pulse (see blog.kobobooks.com), which also dovetails nicely with the Facebook f8 Conference announcement last week. Kobo clearly continues to attract investment capital; these moves are strategic and require some cash. The German retail stores open on Saturday and three other European stores are slated for 2011.

$250 is an attractive price point -- and remember, this is for Canada where Amazon's Kindle Fire will not be sold.
