Neat to see color eink on the way. But in the age of tablets, I don't think DX priced eink devices can escape a very small niche.

wow, looks pretty awesome.

i dont see anyone else using color eink, so it'll be interesting to see the response on it

i cant read on the ipad bc of the backlit screen so this as an alternative would be amazing

still reading my jetbook every night though

It is 1600 x 1200 dpi and 800 x 600 ppi. A pixel is made up of 4 dots in a 2x2 array. There is 1 dot for each color and a clear dot that can be used to brighten or darken the color. JetBook is a bit misleading here. Follow the link on the wiki to the display technology page to read about this.

By the way there are subpixel sampling techniques that can improve the apparent resolution using the dots.
