Love 0.8.0, and doublelove the all-in-1 edit metadata view!! I had stopped entering much of my custom info because having it on the second tab caused me to forget about it most of the time. Now I'll get back in the habit of doing so.

Thanks Kovid for this wonderful program
![]() I just have a few tips for the coming update or 9.0 version: 1) We desperately need an "Undo" button especially when a file is mistakenly deleted or edited or something like that. 2) A one click button to switch "Title" and "Author" because the program sometimes switch them when adding books. 3) A nice and easy option to increase the memory used for the program to make it work faster because some of us deal with hundreds of thousands of books. 4) An option to edit multiple books; for example, changing the Author or book series or Tags 5) An option to use the full potential of processors like the "Intel i7" Thanks and we are looking forward for coming releases. |

2) It's in the edit metadata dialog. On the left of the title/author. it's also possible to do this in the bulk editor. 3) Memory is used as needed. There is no way to use more when it's not needed. 4) There already is. Select multiple books and click edit. It will open the bulk editor. 5) ? |

Error sending books to iTunes
Hi
I discovered the problem is a custom metadata. Any way to send books without custom metadata? Regards |

Great program however I've been troubleshooting for hours. I rooted my nook to cynogenmod7 and I can send books to nook and view them on nook however I am unable to view the nook books in calibre, there is no way in calibre to set the active folder where the books reside on the nook. Can anyone help with this issue? I uninstalled and re-installed the newest version of Calibre and do not wish to use another program or go thru exchange but I'm done troublshooting. If I stop I'll have to start all over again.
Thanks for any input |

You could go into plugins and disable the Device plugin for the Nook and only use connect to folder in the future. Or after you disable the Nook plugin create a user defined device plugin according to the link Kovid has above.

Just curious, since he replaced the OS on the nook, would Calibre even see it as a nook? That is, is there really any reason to disable the nook plugin?

So if the device uses the old ID... it's detected as a Nook (and that precludes having a different driver made). The user is free to disable the Nook Driver and customise the 'User Defined USB Driver'. Both can not be enabled at the same time .

In the meantime because I am able to view folders I'm searching peripheral drives for books and adding to my library. |
