I don't understand that response. . .
I think Obama is an oaf and doing great harm to not only the USA but the rest of the world as well. But it would never occur to me to throw stuff at him. He had the courage to run for office and stand up for what he thinks is correct leadership. I also think GW Bush will likely get the same level of respect from the left in the US.
Besides Blair is out of office. What's the point now? I admit Anglo-Europe seems very foreign to me at times. |

I don't know, I think I rather liked Tony Blair...I know the Iraq War was pretty controversial, and he did have his dumb moments, but at least he was better than the present lot, right?

You can't ask for better publicity. TB is laughing his way to the bank.

Blair is donating his revenues to charity organisations, some of them taking care of British Iraq veteran soldiers.
Which he won't miss, since he already is a multi-millionaire. He can call himself lucky they didn't throw oil barrels or puppy dogs, which would have been both more appropriate ... |

Any news on when the signing in Baghdad will be ? I was thinking of setting up a used shoe and rotten egg store there :-)
To those who fail to understand why he is so unpopular in the UK may I offer dozens / hundreds of unnecessary British deaths, the shooting of an innocent man by British police and the 7/7 bombings as starters. Sorry if thats too political but the man really gets me upset AND he calls himself a socialist - must have a different dictionary to me. |

Blair
Ceebee, spot on !
I had thought of going to a signing and, when TB asked me if I wanted him to write something in the book, I would ask him to write " I am a war criminal". Then I discovered that to get near him I would have to actually buy a book to get near him. Stilll, a nice thought. |

I'm not sure he does call himself a socialist - weren't he and The Prince of Darkness, Lord Mandelson, responsible for expunging any reference to socialism and egalitarianism from the Labour Party?

As a Champagne Socialist, Blair and his ilk might have dallied with socialist ideas but the Troskyite stooges of the right opened up the way for them to abandon the principles upon which the Labour Party was founded - a path they were only too eager to go down. They were of course helped by Kinnock and his cronies, and the sainted John Smith - who checked out before he could be blamed for screwing the labour movement and is now revered. You want to see bitter...come the revolution we'll see how bitter I can get |
