Smile Epub thumbnail corruption

I got my opus in the email today , I have been fiddling with it for the last couple of hours.

1. Charged the device fully.
2. Updated to 2.0 firmware.
3. loaded a bunch of ebooks in epub format from feedbooks and other sites.

I am having a problem with the thumbnails shown on the device for epub files. all of the thumbnails for the books that I uploaded are corrupt ( I wiped everything and loaded all the files again both manually and also using calibre), I know from other posts that the thumbnail format has changed with the new firmware. I used the python script available here to manually convert the cover.jpg generated by calibre into a filename.epub.tbn files, even this method does not work.

Has anybody else faced the same problem? can some one help me with this.

Solved

I upgraded to Calibre 0.6.40 and re-transfered all the files once again and it worked great.
