How to get rid of the ABC Amber watermarks?
Hi,
following problem:



Source is pdf. (ANd no, the source doesnt has this nice text)
It appears on every converstion to any format. And is obviously annoying.

Its possible to get rid of it?

I guess you could try using a program like this one:
http://www.pdftoword.com/Default.aspx
and then converting that to epub. I'm not sure it will work, but it might be worth a try.

Are you using the demo version of the program? Does it not go away if you buy the full version?

You would have to use calibre to convert it to .txt then use notepad to find and replace it.

If you have access to the source, why not add that directly to Calibre and let Calibre do any conversion?

I think you should be able to remove the ABC strings from a PDF file by using the facilty in Calibre for removing headers/footers. However you would have to create the correct Regex expression for reognising them for this to work.

Also as someone mentioned if you have a paid-for version of the ABC PDF converter (rather than the demo version) you can stop these watermarks being output.

1) Convert to HTML instead of PDF. (You can use the ConvertLit program directly for this - it even has a GUI available.)
2) Regex search and replace for the string (and the page numbers if you don't want them.)
3) HTML to PDF (via Calibre)
