"RightBrane.com re-releases Chasing the Light"
(Old News)
Yes, despite computer swaps, software reloads, upgrades, replacements, and every other thing that can go wrong when replacing a computer... I have kept my promise and finally prevailed, finished, and uploaded my newest novel, Chasing the Light! I am proud of this book for two reasons: One, it hits on a major issue today, the national oil crisis and impending energy crunch, and what it will mean to everyone in America inside of the next decade; and Two, this book is being offered in the new ePub format developed by the International Digital Publishing Forum (IDPF.org), and already being endorsed and used by Adobe's Digital Editions and InDesign software, and by other companies. ePub could turn out to be the e-book format of the future, and I am glad to be able to offer it to my customers. So, please go find out more on Chasing the Light, and see if you want to add it to your digital collection. I'm going to just sit over here and take a rest... (New News) Fortunately, preparing this book for its re-release on RightBrane.com was a lot easier! Scroll down to post #8 for details! Last edited by Dr. Drib; 11-06-2010 at 06:44 AM. As far as DRM, my understanding is that every book sold through the Kindle store has the same Kindle DRM system, no more or less. So, if you want a truly DRM-free book, buy a Mobi version from my site, and upload it into your Kindle (or anything else you have that runs Mobi). |

The Kindle edition is available at Amazon -- and I found most of your other books there as well.
My motto is "Shop at Amazon for convenience". And shop elsewhere for your DRM-free books. |

I will certainly buy from your site. I assume you get more cash that way... and I can also get the LRF for my Sony. I assume I don't need to buy two copies if my son will also read the books? BOb |

Cool... been a while since I've read a SLJ book. What's up with the Kestral Voyages.... any new ones coming out? Was _Berserker_ renamed _The Kestral Voyages_ or is that a new book?
Are we able to d/l updated versions if we already bought the book... or do we need to re-up? BOb |

(Seriously: Yes, some of the old sex scenes were embellished beyond their original "kiss-kiss, crashing waves, morning after" status, but not to the extent that they are porn. Consider it a jump from "PG" to "R" movie rating, to be more in line with modern novels.) There will be further Kestral books, by popular demand! BUT... I plan to re-release all of my existing books before I write a new one, which is why I'm trying to get these books out as fast as I can, one every 2 weeks or so. I think I can maintain that pace, even through the holidays. The next book to be released for the new site will be the third Kestral book, "The House of Jacquarelle", though I may change the title... it's such a mouthful. |
