Switcher's Guide for the PRS-505
Have any of you switched from Sony to Amazon? Any tips?

Most of my ebooks are in EPUB format and I use calibre to manage my books. Will these books work okay on the Kindle?

No; the Kindle will not read ePub books. You'll need to use Calibre to convert them to MobiPocket format.

Well that stinks. I don't know much about the quality coming out of the MobiPocket converters with calibre.

Unless your ePub are DRM free or you can strip the DRM, you won't be able to convert them. But, if they are DRM free or can be made so, then you'll have an easy time converting.

All of my EPUB docs are DRM free. I'll give it a shot. Is there a good MobiPocket viewer that I test them on? [Runs off to Google and calibre].

Quite good actually. And you can get the Mobipocket Reader for Windows from Mobipocket.com
