iPAD mini not connecting
I have been having trouble getting my books from Calibre x64 3.40.1 running on Win!0 x64 into my iPAD mini. I used to be able to use the content server and dl books via Marvin now since upgrade I can't do that.
I plugged my iPAD in via USB and I ran the debug device detection and got the following: Spoiler:
Any ideas to trouble shoot from here? Am I missing something totally obvious? Thanks for your help Chris Last edited by theducks; 04-04-2019 at 08:29 PM. Reason: SPOILER |

USB support for iOS/Marvin has been broken for at least a couple years now.
Just to clarify, are you trying to use the content server (OPDS or webpage) or the old, USB-based Marvin plugin? |

I tried hooking up the USB as a last resort. I was trying to connect via content server from my iPAD Pro mini. I was able to connect about 8 weeks ago but since then I have been through several Win10 "updatess". Subsequently I have been unable to connect via OPDS Thanks for your help Chris |

1. Describe the problem exactly. Is it just the iPad mini not connecting to the server (e.g. an error of some sort) or is "Get books > OPDS auto or calibre server" not finding the server at all?
2. Can you access the Calibre server on the PC it's running from? On a web browser, type the ff in the address bar: http://localhost:8080/ 3. Can you access the Calibre server from another computer? (you can find the IP address in Calibre's Preferences > Sharing over the net) http://ipaddress:8080/ 4. Can you access the Calibre server using Safari on the iPad mini? (same as #3) |

I have calibre version 3.40.1 x64
Windows 10 1809 build 17763.379 x64 My network setting are on private. I have been able to access the content server on the same computer using http://127.0.0.1:8080 My problem started post home group deletion and the major 1809 upgrade. I start the content server and I access Marvin on my iPad Pro (iOS 12.2). I try to start the OPDS server and cannot get access. I have been able to access the OPDS via another computer on my network but not with my iPAD. Just tried to access the OPDS from Marvin on my iPad and was successful! It might have been the several reboots of both iOS and Win that did it. thanks for your input Chris |
