Changing text color?
How is the text color set in epub?
Specifically how is a default color set that will carry over when converted to other formats, blocking readers for other formats from changing the text color, and how do I un-set that default? |

its set in the CSS file. You cant block other readers from changing the colour because too many of them are black and white.

Oh, yes it can.
I finally found and fixed the problem. The text color was set in the stylesheet.css, which carried over to conversion to Mobi format and Mobi reader for Windows and Kindle reader for Android would not change the text color from the nearly black it was set to. Pretty silly of the epub author to set that when readers all default to black text on white. All that in stylesheet.css accomplished was making it impossible to read with white text on black background. |
