Papyre: a new ebook reader


It seems that a new e-ink based ebook reader is going to be launched in a few weeks. There is some information (in Spanish) here and here scrolling down a little.

There is an image of a leaflet here.

According to the site, it is going to be sold on-line from third week of January. The price is 350€ including an 512MB SD card with 400 free books.
I suppose the books are in Spanish. Actually in the image they show the beginning of El Quijote. They say it plays mp3, but not a word about supported formats.

It look exactly like Jinke/lBook V3, only in white.

The Jinke Halin reseller actually made a research and development deal with a local University. Part of the deal states that the student will eventually be required to use the reader. An initial order of 1000 units is to be placed soon.

This unrelated information aside, I believe that Hanlin is taken the right step towards entering virgin tech markets.
