EPUB tips from Adobe
This got my attention - from here: http://www.adobe.com/products/digitaleditions/faq/
Useful guide, not just for Sony users.. "Why do some EPUB documents not look right on the Sony® Reader? EPUB is a relatively new format. At this point, many publishers, large and small, are embracing the format. Since they are often new to the nuances, there are sometimes problems with the content that is being produced. To help with this process, Adobe, in conjunction Sony and others, has produced a “best practices” guide. The guide can be downloaded from the Digital Publishing Technology Center. One of the most common problems is when the EPUB creator puts the entire contents of the eBook into one “chapter” within the EPUB. On a device like the Sony® Reader which does not have the (effectively) unlimited memory of a computer, this can lead to the document being truncated. All of these problems should improve rapidly over time as publishers and eBook distributors learn the best way to produce EPUBs (and the software itself becomes more advanced)." |
