By the way, upgrading with the Java Booster Pack, stylus calibration and extra stylus buttons worked. Of course they were all blown away by the upgrade but the upgrade worked.

Anyone else having trouble ssh'ing into their freshly upgraded 2.10 iLiad's?

Instead of being asked to enter my passphrase I'm being asked for root's password?!!?

Edit: I ran my port of mrxvt (it works on 2.10) and used passwd to reset my root password. I'm in.

Edit: stock 2.10 Latin has 12.7MB of free space in the root filesystem! Roughly an extra 7MB.

Edit: x48 and dillo work.

Edit: Java Booster Pack still works. Scribble now has a slide show mode. Looks like txt files are going to Mobipocket now.

Edit: there is a new viewer "ARINC" that runs "ereader_mapviewer" with extension of "ari".

Edit: Java Viewer Booster Pack works in 2.10. But I need to upgrade it to hand .txt off to the Mobipocket viewer. (update shortly)

Edit: OK no Booster Pack upgrade required, I was a good boy and passed anything I didn't recognize off to the iRex viewer.

That's the entry for the eFlyBook. The entry is there, but not the viewer. iRex must not want to manage 2 different versions of er_registry.txt

I have the 2.10 since Monday and I had some problem with the execute-.sh extension....
So I had to go to http://www.irextechnologies.com/node/45 again...

Since yesterday Dillo and Daemon MP3 Player are working fine...

Anyone tried the fullscreen pdf viewer on 2.10? I'm pretty reluctant to give that up...

Because of the new version of ipdf in 2.10, it does not (not work well anyway). If the full screen and other updates are important to you, you'll probably want to wait until it's compiled with the new ipdf.

Yes, its much better. No trucated lines, no overlong lines, changing the font size keeps you on the same text part. Now they just need to give us a fontchoice and linespace and margin settings

Why not just do a quick and dirty convert to PDB?

I upgraded to 2.10 and now none of the extra (FBReader,dillo...) applications works anymore. same for dropbear. Did this happen to anyone else? I applied again for the shell access. hopefully this helps.

You'll need to reinstall (or update) fbreader.

I think dillo was missing a library needed to start.

Sometimes you want to examine a txt file generated on the iLiad itself. For example I have a quick and dirty SH script that gives me the IP addresses set by DHCP for wireless or wired. Or perhaps you need to view your Mobipocket PID stored in a txt file the root of your "internal memory".

An interesting thought there. It might be possible to wiggle those values in my intercept code before handing the txt file over: They load a bunch of stuff out of a configuration file in the /home/intent/mobi <sp?> directory on startup.
