There's a few countries where they have 30day no questions-asked returns but it has been abused in a few localities.
Mostly, though, it's "no deposit, no return".
Or, a lot rarer; "you broke it, you bought it".

It's a cute contraption at any rate and a necessity for any time traveller who goes back to the days before electricity. I would definitely prefer the time machine's service manual on one of those than on an ereader with dead batteries.
