But then there's the sorts of 'authors' that are suffering from the Kruger-Dunning effect. They're absolutely awful at writing (or some other task like being a shift manager) but think they're super and the worse they are the better they think they are - and ain't nobody can tell them different.

If the publishers who make their money in the book pushing business won't take your manuscript, you can always use the available free software to put it into common e-book formats and with a cheap domain name and hosting, plus free e-commerce software... put your textual baby online and see if the folks at the big publisher really are full of it... ;-)
