The Giver by Lois Lowry is really good.

The Tripod trilogy by John Christopher is similar to The Hunger Games, but better. It's really really really good. It's about a not-too-distant future Earth where humans have been conquered by aliens who control people by mind control. It's all about this one kid who decides to fight against them. Unlike the Hunger Games, the trilogy just gets better and better as it continues. Don't bother with the fourth book which is a prequel.
