Use Windows Media Player 11 to sync from the PC to the Kindle Fire HD or copy them to your Amazon Cloud drive and then download them to the KFHD.
Copying them directly may not work properly. My Windows 7 PC with WMP 11 sees the KFHD as a Music Player and won't allow direct copying of Music or Pictures.
