I know there are some developer types following the eDGe. Question for them (because I know nothing about software developement): everyone expects thousands/millions of apps to be developed for Android by the end of the year. Are those apps device specific or can they be used on any Android based machine?
Most of the apps anticipated by the end of the year are really built for the capabilities of a phone device. A good number of the apps will not work with the Edge simply because the Edge doesn't have the supporting hardware. If the app is built for the 1.6 version of Android released with the Edge and the Edge has the hardware needed for the app to run, then the app will work.
