You are referring to the CM7 build that boots off the card, and OP is referring to CM7 on the eMMC (built-in flash).
I am also running the CM7 off the card build, and I echo what the OP has said. I am now using this as my "daily driver" until B&N updates to 2.2 or else Google releases Honeycomb AOSP.
