The problem is that there's no easy way to get a feel for the number of exceptions - just recently I was searching for John Scalzi's "Ghost Brigades" as an eBook and could find it at Sony, Waterstones, PanMacmillan & Amazon, but neither Fictionwise nor BooksOnBoard had it.
