Well, what are the restrictions? It seems to me that it might not be possible for most non-game apps if they didn't have the ability to read and write files from the Kindle itself.
I mean, they probably let you save a file like high scores and such. But they probably don't want apps that mess around with the other files. A bug and it could screw things up, which means money Amazon has to spend on customer support.
