All one needs to do is count out loud starting with one... As in one, two, three, four, five, six, etc. You won't get to an "A" until you reach one hundred And one... It should take you more than a minute to say all of those... Just like you did in Kindergarten!

I was always taught not to use and unless you were counting past the decimal point. So 1.1 would be "one and one tenth" and 101 would be one hundred one. Following that rule, you wouldn't say a word with the letter A in it until you hit one thousand.
