And that's not enough time for people to vote. Let's say the nominations ended on Friday and the vote starts on Saturday. If someone is away for the weekend (including Monday), there's no way to vote in the initial vote. Three days is too easy to miss the vote.
The only way to do this would be to put back the vote so it starts earlier so we get the same time we do now for the initial vote. But then we'd need another few days for the second vote. So if we have six days for the initial vote and three days for the second vote, we'd have to push things back.
