If it isn't, it reinforces the point that it isn't worth hyperventilating about Amazon buying up "essential" component tech, doesn't it? Or about incoming color Kindles.
To me what is most significant is that Bezos doesn't seem to hink EINK can deliver a worthy color reflective screen in the next year or two. Otherwise, why drop 8-figures worth of cash on Liquavista?
There is value in Liquavista beyond electrowetting screens. (Staff, patents, algorithms, screen driver expertise...) But $50-100M?
