You must have downloaded the wrong one.
See post #7 of this thread.
Download the one from the link described in that post.
There will be an ... 0.6N ... install.bin and ... uninstall.bin file in the zip archive.
There will also be two files:
README
README_FIRST.txt
Hint: Read both files.
Hint: Still worried? There is a src/ directory in the zip file; inside that directory you will find a file named: install.sh.
Read it. (Isn't open source great? )
Look up anything you don't know in:

Which is for the command processor BASH, and the Kindle will be using ASH, but ASH is a sub-set of BASH, so "close enough".
Note: Will not work on an iPad (the only thing listed in your profile).
