I find those who react to Romance like the earlier comment have never read one and have no idea what's in them. There are plenty of romances novels that have little to no love scenes in them. Plot and characterization are most important for me in a good romance.
Nicholas Sparks is one author I wont touch. For me a romance has to have a happily ever after or I wont read it.
